CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION POLICY

The requirements for lawyers and law firms to identify clients are related to the requirements introduced by the Measures Against Money Laundering Act and the Measures Against the Financing of Terrorism Act.

Our standards in identifying the client are higher than the minimum required under MAMLA and MAFTA, applying The Internal Rules of Panev & Partners Law Firm for Control and Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.

In compliance with these high standards, the Law Firm does not provide any services to persons sanctioned by the UN, the European Union, the US, and the UK, does not provide services to anonymous clients and clients who have refused to be subject to due diligence, regardless of whether identification and due diligence are mandatory.

In cases where this is mandatory under the LMML and/or LMFT, as well as in cases where this is not mandatory, but we find it necessary, we carry out additional checks related to the identification of our customers.
